Texture and Form

I had always paid special tribute to form, but when I started to discover textures and color I became fascinated with them, hypnotized. Their multiple combinations on the surface appear so accidental when in reality they could be pretty much predictable.

My roots

I feel like I come from all places I have been to. From far away knots and marks imprinted in my memory, but I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, South America forty some years ago. From one of those narrow streets where traffic suffocates everything, even dreams, Bogotá my feared and beloved city, sweet and sour, shelter and prison.

What I seek as an artist

Despite the fact that we humans are very visual creatures, we live our lives with our eyes closed. We choose to ignore things, we look, but we don’t see, we listen but we do not hear.

With my re-creations I want to create an open invitation to others, to observe things in a constant pursuit for hidden intentions.
